When the Stars burn down

This morning, I had one song stuck in my head as I woke up... Travis Cottrell's newest CD is called When the Stars Burn Down The title track has been in my head all morning. I'd like you to take a listen.

On his Blog, Strong Worship Songs, Pastor Scott Martz describes this song perfectly...
This song reminds us this fallen world is wearing out, winding down, and coming to an end. As the lyrics say “the world will fall.” Our resurrected Lord will return to resurrect all the dead. He will judge the world and then lead the resurrected saints into the resurrected universe, the Kingdom of God that He has prepared for us. On that day all sorrow, tears, and pain will forever be gone as we live in the full presence of our Savior God, as God intended from the beginning.
Revelation 7:17 says this
"For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.'”

This is one of my favorite songs, and each time I listen to it, I get goosebumps... To me, it gives a taste of what glorious songs will be sung in heaven! What an amazing thought...
John was given a glimpse of heaven in Revelation 4:1-8, and what a sight it is...
After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne. Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits[a] of God. Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.

In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying:

“‘Holy, holy, holy
is the Lord God Almighty,’
who was, and is, and is to come."

I hope that you have a wonderful day! Singing blessing and honor, glory and power, forever to our God!
