This is the day the Lord has made...

The rest of that verse says... let us rejoice and be glad in it.

We have two choices when we wake up in the morning... to be glad and rejoicing in the Lord, or to be grumpy, sour and complaining... goodness knows the latter is far more easy, especially when we are tired and haven't slept well, or we have to head to a job that we seem to be stuck in... or in my case, waking up with the knowledge that I still don't have a job.
Philippians 4:4 tells us to "rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice!" Bad days will come and go, but the joy of the Lord should be present in your life always... that doesn't mean you're going to be happy all the time, you're not... trust me... but when we have those bad days, be encouraged... The joy of the Lord is our strength.

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
Refrain:
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.

Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels, descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

Be encouraged today, knowing the Blessed Assurance you have in Jesus! Which will you choose today, to rejoice or to complain?
