Peace in the unknown

Philippians 4:6-7 reads: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
I know that if I get so worried with what I have to do tomorrow or over the weekend, that I have no peace... I can't focus on the tasks I need to get done that day... I get anxious. Worry does not add one days to our lives here on earth, so why do we do it? We are human and we worry, it's in our nature to freak out over the minute details of life... So as we journey toward the beginning of a new year, let our hearts be at peace as we rest in the Lord. Focus on the day in front of you, and look to the future with hope and peace, knowing that God is already there.
